Some of you may already know that one of the reasons I began butterfly gardening was a way of processing and moving through the passing of my dad/best friend. The last 6 years jumped-started a deep, inner initiation that has been pivotal in my growth, since his passing. This year is the first year that I've felt the most peace about his passing and the story leading up to it. The night before last (Weds.), I felt drawn to connect with my dad's essence and let him know how much I love him. I went out to water my plants early yesterday (Thurs.), morning. In my young, strawberry plant pot, I noticed something shimmering from dew, in the soil. I thought it was a piece of plastic of some sort. As I reached to take it out of the pot, I realize it's a Dragonfly wing. My dad's signature, animal Spirit-guide was the Dragonfly, which he also had tattooed on his shoulder. :-) 6 years tomorrow, April 18th, is the day he passed. |
